Succinct Trench: Our Spin on a Classic Silhouette

— By: Alison Wu

Completely redesigned for our Spring 2015 Collection, the men’s and women’s Succinct Trench remains a favorite among Nau staffers as their go-to spring shell. Crafted from 100% recycled polyester, this lightweight, urban-inspired hard shell provides complete protection from the elements. Built to be outside yet refined and modern enough to wear in the city, the Succinct is our take on the traditional trench coat.

From designer Peter Kallen:

Briefly and clearly expressed is the definition of succinct, and this truly represents the spirit behind this trench. It embodies the perfect number of strategically placed pockets that can be accessed while in a city stride or a cycling cadence. The ease of the adjustable cuffs and the secure collar adds to its clarity, as does the performance and texture of its fabric. All in all, it covers your functional and stylish needs in a succinct manner.

The women’s mid-length version features a two-way zipper, removable hood and reversible reflective adjustable waist belt, making it ideal for urban commuting. Up close the heathered yarn creates surprising depth and visual texture.

Completely waterproof, the men’s version of this two-layer packable hard shell combines seam-sealed recycled poly fabric, a zip-off hood and stowable back-pocket reflective tape. Sleek and protective, the Succinct Trench’s performance features are disguised by its tailored, minimal design.
