We’re teaming up with Portland Supply Co. to feature a local Portland creative each month this summer through the P.S. Co. x Nau Makers Series. This collaboration aims to highlight the work of a Portland maker while gaining insight into their inspirations and what they love. First up: Dawn Yanagihara of Kiriko.

Dawn is the Creative Director and Co-founder of Kiriko, a line that specializes in Japanese-style textiles. Each piece is either hand sewn in Portland or features traditional Japanese methods of manufacturing. Dawn finds inspiration from both Japan and Portland and loves fusing the 2 different styles together. The ladies from P.S. Co. went around with Dawn to her favorite Portland spots to find out how she incorporates style and function into her everyday life, the 5 things she can’t live without and where she goes to get away from it all. Check out her answers and her favorite items from our Spring ’14 line, here.
