There are more walls to lean on and people are energized by the proximity to food and drink. I am sooo proud of America and to be an American!
If I had a flag, I’d wave it. For the first time ever. I grew up when my dad’s band had to stop playing the national anthem due to being booed. When people weren’t proud. Then we saw a bunch a jerks go into patriotic overdrive during Reagan and Bush. This is the first time it actually feels positive instead of like some kind of indignant reclaiming of a heritage.
This is patriotism done right.
