The land form says a lot about regional geology (and it's important to surfers like me (who lived there for a while)). To bad the planners let so much residential building occur in similar canyons elsewhere in the county and thank goodness for the Navy and Point Loma Nazarene College that it won't happen on Point Loma south of there.
