Hello y'all!

This is my first time here at Nau, and I must say, I am impressed. Okay, you don't know me, so you may say "so what?", but I live in an area that has been overwhelmed (or underwhelmed, depending on how you look at it) by change.

Originally from NJ, my heart goes out to you all in Oregon for your concern about strip malls, agriculture, unnecessary waste. If I were there I would campaign against the changes that seem to be acceptable to those who only care about money. Life is so much bigger than the monetary!

Should anyone want me to make a $10 bag for them, let me know. I have fabric, burlap, thread, and a sewing machine that I know how to operate. We just need to discuss how we'll get it from me to you!

No, I do not have a website, but I do have experience with Word, inserting photos (though I do not have a digital camera) and a heart for people who want to be part of the solution. So, give me a call or email me. I will be glad to hear from you!

Oh yes, I like to write, too.

And, I have driven an electric car, too. Wish there were more of them!

I just finished reading the article on La Petraia. My backyard is my place to enjoy a cup of tea and solace. What a wonderful place Susan and acquired for herself. I only wish it were closer. This ariticle was in the August edition of Chatelaine.

Thanks Jill and Mark. One thing I forgot to mention abouts Susan is that in addition to being an accomplished chef she recently published a cookbook that chronicles her kitchen experiences at La Petraia. Its called Piano, Piano, Pieno which means Slowly, Slowly, Full. Check it out so you can have a vicarious taste of her kitchen wizardry http://www.pianopianopieno.ca/aboutbook.php .
